Blessed Monos – a poem

Monos community
embraces God with love and unity
inner spirituality
a living reality
reflecting God’s images of humanity
a radiance of humility
and generosity.

Blessed Monos
for they are creating disciples
guiding the unchurched with genuine Christian principles
imploring them to seek God for themselves.
Not dependent on others to find God for them.
Praying for the lost and lonely.
Serving

Blessed Monos
Opened doors welcomed the prodigal sons and daughters.
Opened arms embraced the misfits.
Opened hearts radiating love and oneness.
Opened house sheltered the lost sheep.
Opened garden: a Picasso of natural organic beauty.
Opened table sharing five loaves and two fish.

Monos community
a treat
to retreat
from the chaos of Mean Street,
where self and fish meet
to propagate a selfish streak…..
a propaganda of selfism.

Monos community
mastered the art of listening in the quietude of the day.
Hearing and obeying God’s voice
directing hands to reach out to those in need
and feet to journey into the valleys of the unknown.
Gathering treasures of experiences and God-incidences
to plant a flourishing community.

to disintegrating communities.
Sprinkle the seeds of Monos where hearts are broken.
Where words of old are spoken.
Where the voice of wisdom says, ‘Knock and the door shall open’.

Monos community where:
hopeless find hope;
jobless find joy in God’s work;
broken are moulded into a vessel utilised by God;
ill find healing in doing God’s will;
lonely lean on God’s promises;
tormented find God in the eye of the storm.

Monos community where:
disfigured embrace inner beauty;
disabled transfigured into an embodiment of able-ity;
hunger fed with the Bread of Life;
thirst quenched with Living Waters;
voiceless transformed to be a voice;
homeless encouraged to build a home.

Monos
A community blessed with:
dancing daffodils and smiling sunflowers;
Robins singing praises to the King;
crackling fireplaces spreading warmth all around;
monks chanting to the beat of your heart;
Minds and souls dancing with the vibration of spirituality.
